Our Story 

Capstone Masonry was founded by college friends and fraternity brothers Zachary Lauderdale and Gavin Calhoun, who saw a gap in the construction industry and set out to fill it. Gavin brings years of hands-on experience in stonework, combining craftsmanship and technical knowledge earned from time in the field. Zach contributes the financial and business expertise gained through leading a successful real estate development company. Together, they combine practical skill with strategic vision to deliver masonry services built on quality, reliability, and trust.

At Capstone Masonry, our name is more than just a label — it’s a reflection of who we are and what we build toward. In Scripture, the capstone represents Christ, the essential foundation upon which everything else stands. That meaning inspires the way we approach our work: with integrity, strength, and a desire to create something lasting. 

Just as the capstone completes and secures a structure, our goal is to deliver projects that stand the test of time and strengthen the communities around them. We believe every wall, every project, and every relationship should be built with honesty, excellence, and purpose. For us, masonry is more than craftsmanship — it’s about laying a foundation that honors God, serves people, and creates spaces where growth and life can flourish.
